This work began long before it had a name.
I’m Connie Guerrero, founder of Guerrero Wellness.
My work is shaped by 23 years with CAL FIRE—from a wildland engine crew to Deputy State Fire Marshal, and from the fireground and training room to public education, policy, and leadership. Through every role, I saw how much capable people carry—and how rarely those who serve, lead, and hold responsibility are given meaningful space to restore.
Guerrero Wellness brings together the different ways I have learned to care for people and strengthen the systems around them: restorative experiences, education and training, policy and consulting, research and innovation, and agriculture and nutrition.
These offerings may look different, but they share one purpose: helping people and organizations serve well without losing connection to themselves, one another, or the communities they support.
What guides the work
Lived Experience
This work is shaped by years inside demanding, high-responsibility environments. It begins with an understanding of what people actually carry—not assumptions about what they need.
Human-Centered
People are more than roles, outcomes, or resilience checklists. We listen, adapt, and create experiences and solutions that respect the whole person.
Practical by Design
Ideas matter when they work in real life. Every offering is designed to be accessible, adaptable, and useful within the environments people actually serve.
Let’s build something that supports the people doing the work.
Whether you’re planning a restorative experience, strengthening a program, or exploring a new idea, the conversation can begin here.
